The Revised Charter is a comprehensive international treaty which brings together in a single instrument all the rights guaranteed in the Charter and the 1988 Additional Protocol, along with the amendments to these rights and the new rights adopted by the 2016-11-08 The aim of this publication is to give both concise and accurate information on the Social Charter's functioning and supervisory machinery, as well as the main subject areas of the European Committee of Social Rights' case law. The Revised European Social Charter protects other essential basic social and economic rights.
